What are the components of self-esteem?

The major components of self-esteem are self worth, self-respect, self-image and self-confidence. These are things that help boost self-esteem. Knowing that you deserve love and standing by your values will boost self-esteem greatly. Also, a healthy self-image which actually reflects how you see yourself physically and emotionally can boost self esteem. Self-confidence can also help you greatly in handling life challenges. When all these components are put together, it create sense of stability and empowerment.

The components you mention are pretty strong. I would also include self-awareness to what you have up there since it makes us understand ourselves and what we need.

I concur with your assertion. Self- discipline also comes into play as it helps one remain persistent in nurturing self-confidence and respect.
