How to start forgiving yourself

Post by Louise »

It is necessary to start forgiving ourselves because mistakes are inevitable and when it happens, we need to let go because carrying the weight forever will keep the wounds open. Self forgiveness actually starts by acknowledging the pain and not passing judgment.

However, it's always better to accept what cannot be changed and learn from it and that's when healing begins. When we release our guilt it brings growth. Forgiveness is a process and letting go one moment at a time will allow us to move forward.

Yes, that's right! To forgive yourself is the same as letting oneself heal. So, I don't see any other option than to forgive myself.

That is always right and by being self compassionate, our healing will be accelerated.

It's a very hard task, sometimes it takes a lot of time to look yourself in the mirror and face your demons.

Forgiving yourself is never easy; it takes you to realise that you need to forgive yourself and that in doing so, you do not look weak.

It can be very difficult to forgive yourself. You should keep telling yourself that we all make mistakes. Don't kick yourself over whatever it is that's getting you down. If you say positive things about yourself it can make it easier to forgive yourself.

Forgiving ourselves means accepting mistakes, releasing guilt, learning lessons, and healing gradually, moving forward with growth and peace.
