How do I talk to myself better?

Post by Dorothy »

It's possible to talk to yourself nicely by being kind to yourself and replacing all kinds of criticism that comes across your mind with positive ones. Practicing affirmation and focusing on your strength can help you get better at talking to yourself. Also, offer the same level of kindness that you would offer your friend to yourself too because you deserve it.

How do you practice talking to yourself in a better way?

It's kind of hard, you know yourself and you know your inner demons, its kind of hard to talk to that.

Honestly this is tough, you might need another person to help guide you. Therapy will definitely help you talk better about yourself, but if you can't afford therapy you should try to look for things that you do that make you happy or make other happy to help you say better things about yourself.

I feel that if you are a person who has doubts or even worries, talking to yourself probably will not do you any good, as you can always find ways to think negatively still.

It is always best to talk to someone else if you need support.

I practice kinder self-talk by challenging negative thoughts, using affirmations, focusing on strengths, and treating myself with patience and compassion.
