I think it decreases it, if a person isn't behind a screen then they get too nervous.

I think it decreases it, social media has made life more difficult IMO. You've got so many people who try and bring you down because they're on the other end of a screen.

Over the years, I have seen instances where social media has decreased people's confidence, so much so that it can make them depressed as well which never ends well.

Do you think the anonymity of social media encourages negativity, or is it more about people projecting their own unhappiness online?Ravenfreak wrote: Fri Aug 29, 2025 7:21 pm I think it decreases it, social media has made life more difficult IMO. I think it's a bit of both honestly. People are insecure, and some people don't know how to handle this so they bring others down. They feel more comfortable doing so on social media because they can hide behind a screen and don't have to physically worry about getting hurt if they say something negative to someone.Deep wrote: Wed Sep 03, 2025 3:59 amDo you think the anonymity of social media encourages negativity, or is it more about people projecting their own unhappiness online?Ravenfreak wrote: Fri Aug 29, 2025 7:21 pm I think it decreases it, social media has made life more difficult IMO. Exactly, insecurity drives negativity, and social media provides a shield, letting people attack without real-world consequences or accountability.Ravenfreak wrote: Wed Sep 03, 2025 10:11 pmI think it's a bit of both honestly.
